As you may know that Dalian Medical University is one of the top medical universities in China. Step: 1: Head to the English version of the official website.

Step: 2: Find the scholarship information. This part is the most difficult part for you, because in the Admission section, it only mentioned "For details, view International Exchange Division website." but it doesn't provide the link:

Step: 3 : Prepare related documents. You may find that you can apply Chinese government scholarship for Dalian Medical University, so you need to prepare following documents:
1. Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship；
2. Notarized highest diploma (photocopy);
Candidates who are still in school must submit an official document issued by their current school to prove their student status and a letter identifying the expected graduation date.
3. Academic transcripts
4. A Study Plan or Research Proposal
This should be a minimum of 800 words
5. Two Recommendation Letters ;

Step: 4 : Fill online application form online. You may also consult dispatching authorities in your home country at first before doing this, the dispatching authority usually refers to the China embassy. (The deadline for China Government Scholarship is the early April, you are suggested to do everything before March, because it may take you time to re-edit your application form or documents.) You will also need to enter the agency number of your target university when apply Chinese government scholarship. (Check the complete list of China universities agency numbers.)

Of course, if you want to apply programs in Dalian Medical University other than nursing, this method will also work.

Huazhong University of Science and Technology is a Technology oriented university in Wuhan, but it also offers top class medical programs. And the tuition for nursing program in HUST is lower than Dalian Medical University, which is only 30,000 RMB per year.

It seems there are five options to go, but after you have read all of them, you will find that the Chinese Government Scholarship–Chinese University Program (CGS-CUP) is only available for master and doctoral programs, ( nursing is a bachelor program), Confucius Institute Scholarship is only for Chinese programs and the HUST President Scholarship Program(PSP) is only for master programs. And the MOFCOM scholarship is also only for master and bachelor programs. Therefore, the only option left for nursing scholarship is the Bilateral Program for HUST.

Step: 2: Get Pre-admission Letter from HUST
When applying Chinese government scholarship, you will face a lot of competitors, getting a pre-admission letter before you actually apply the Chinese government scholarship will increase your Chance to win.

HUST offers 3 ways for you to apply for the Pre-admission Letter:
1 Fill HUST online application form first. (You will need to fill the application form and submit related documents. And choose "I am a student with sponsorship" at the beginning of the application process.)
2 Or submit scan copy of required documents to the International Admission Office.
3 Send the clear scanned copies to admission@hust.edu.cn.

Related documents mentioned above including: 1) Highest diploma or degree certificate; or an official Certificate of Enrollment for the ones still on campus; 2) Official transcript; 3) Study Plan or Research Proposal; (Graduate students only); 4) Language Proficiency certificate (TOEFL and IELTS are recommended).


Step: 3 : Apply Bilateral Program Online.

Now you have the pre-admission letter from HUST, you can start applying Bilateral program online. You need to register and fill the application form (This time you are fill the form for the scholarship) and submit related documents online. The deadline to do this is also early April. After everything is done, you may wait for the result which will be published in July.

Tips: Before applying Bilateral program online, You are highly suggested to consult the dispatching authorities for overseas study in your home country. Sometimes you have to send the documents to the dispatching authorities in your country at first, so it is necessary for you to consult them at first.

Chongqing Medical University is also a medical oriented university located in Chongqing. It might not be as famous as Dalian Medical University, but it is also a key medical university in China. It offers 4 years Chinese medium bachelor degree nursing program (30,000 RMB per year) and 3 years English medium nursing program (41,000 RMB per year) in master degree. The reason for us to recommend this university here is that it seems the scholarship in this university is easier to apply.
